The problem does not lie with the price itself....
Be it a car or a cellular phone, any company has the right to establish a particular price for the products they  are selling.

In a free market, all prices are fair...One should never be told how much to charge for his own product.  So it only makes sense that medications should follow this same market reality.

...In fact, all you are lacking to even up the score is information: You are permitted by law to access the meds you need from a Canadian pharmacy , as long as you have a valid doctor's prescription. You need not suffer if there's a medication for your condition; and, what you definitely don't need is additional financial pain. Yet, no one will promote that law to the public.

Like the pharmaceutical companies, the individual has a right to defend himself along with his own interests; and above all, assure his health within his means.

The only obstacle that stands between you accessing any medication is a trusted and legitimate source.

Take care of your medication needs the old fashion way: talk to a Pharmacist first!

DRUG RATIONING WITH SENIORS BEGINS!

Burried beneath the avalanche of recent news reports about the latest Obamacare-mandated funding cuts to the Medicare Advantage (MA) program is a related but far more disturbing story

the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has taken a major step toward rationing medications to the elderly. Since passage of the Medicare Modernization Act of 2003, seniors enrolled in the Medicare prescription drug program have been guaranteed access to “all or substantially all” of the drugs in several classes of pharmaceuticals. President Obama’s health care bureaucrats, however, have proposed removing three of these classes from the “protected” list.

Why are Americans Paying More than Canadians for  Cancer Drugs? ARANESP: $3401.74 per syringe in the US compared to $1985.24 per syringe in Canada?

Aranesp is a life saving drug used to treat anaemia that comes about because of chronic renal failure (kidney failure, and kidney cancer).

Anaemia is when your blood does not contain enough red blood cells.
In kidney failure, the kidney does not produce enough of the natural hormone erythropoietin.

Erythropoietin encourages your bone marrow to produce more red blood cells. Kidney failure can often cause anaemia, which may require you to have blood transfusions.

Aranesp will reduce your need for blood transfusions. The medication  will help the bone marrow to produce more red blood cells. The active ingredient of Aranesp is darbepoetin alfa that works in exactly the same way as the natural hormone erythropoietin.
It is indeed a life saving drug!

Why are Americans Paying More than Canadians for sleep aids? Lunesta $10.06 per tablet in the US compared to $1 per tablet in Canada.

Zopiclone is the most popular sleeping pill in Canada. Its American equivalent is Lunesta (Eszopiclone)

A great number of seniors have difficulty sleeping and take prescription medications to help them fall and remain asleep.

What about over the counter sleep aids? Shouldn't they be safer ?...Not necessarily.

Some over the counter sleep aids contain substances, such as Doxylamine, which are poweful anticholinergic agents. These are normally safe in young people, but may have devastating effects in the elderly population who has more difficulties eliminating the drugs from their system.
These sleep aids can cause depression, constipation and increased ocular pressure. These are problems that older people do not need in addition to their sleeplessness.
